12-03 Vascular Function/Prostate Health Study
NIS Labs is currently recruiting males age 55 and older. This study is looking for volunteers who may have current prostate problems and are
interested in a nutritional supplement that may improve their quality of life.
The study requires the individual to consume the nutritional supplement daily for 90 days. During these 90 days, the individual will record
his blood pressure daily, using a blood pressure cuff supplied by NIS Labs for the duration of the study. Before starting the study, all
participants must go through a medical exam.
The study participation requires 6 visits to NIS Labs and two medical exams. Three of the 6 visits to NIS Labs happen during the first week of
participation, and the following 3 visits happen at 4, 8, and 12 weeks of participation. During the visits to NIS Labs, the individual rests on
a bed while having three probes taped to the skin on the arm and the foot to monitor blood flow. This lasts approximately 90 minutes. On the
third visit 2 blood samples are taken, and on the last 3 visits a single blood draw is taken.
