04-11 Nutritional Yeast Extract Study
A research study is being conducted to assess the effect of a nutritional yeast extract on the immune system.
The study involves 5 visits to the clinic, one week apart. Each visit lasts approximately 3.5 hours. During this time, a blood sample will be taken, a nutritional supplement will be given, and 2 more blood samples will be drawn.
The study requires you to be calm and resting with no distractions. Your cell phone will be turned off and you will not be allowed to work on a computer or perform other tasks with your hands such as writing or knitting. You may bring a book to read.
Requirements
- Age 18 - 55 years of both genders
- Healthy individual
Exclusion Criteria
- Previous gastrointestinal surgery
- Pregnancy
- Use of recreational drugs
- Previous history of cancer
- Allergy medications
Participants will be compensated for their time.
Participants must reside in Klamath Falls or the surrounding area.
